This album gathers some of my early acousmatic works - most of them composed between 2010-2012, each track being its own project.

15 years ago, coming from the acoustic world as a musician, the discovery of electroacoustic music blew my mind and rocked my world. I dove deep into it.

Electroacoustic music is for me, in its wild and explorative nature, a very special way to deal and and express both the existential experience of living, through sound and music. It offered me a place where I could build and try out my own intimate relation to the world, where thoughts and concepts, textures and intuitions, moving images and stillness could all be there together; a place where you also could take the time to let the sound live, in fact a place where time is yours to display as you wish.

In music in general, space and time are so intricate, they are the ephemeral material and the canvas itself. It is particularly true regarding acousmatic music, as part of contemporary music, because you
have a total freedom to shape your music in space and time.

Over the years, I found that one question was running through all my acousmatic production/ sound installations : Where are we, really ? Where can we say that we live, are we always where we stand ? Of course these questions resonnate more and more for all of us with the expansion of digital spaces in our lives...

They are so many layers of space and time for us to experience what living is, wether we project ourselves in past or future, wether we are absorbed in abstract representations or pure emotion, wether we let the body guide or the mind, or both...
Body and Soul, a lifetime adventure !
